“Today our prime educational objective must be to form men and women for others; men and women who will live not for themselves but for God and his Christ” (Arrupe, Men for Others, Valencia, 1973). This year, 2023, is the 50th year of Arrupe’ s this famous exhortation that changed the perspectives and course of Jesuit Education. In the context of this, it is apt that we take a renewed look at the key element of Jesuit Education, that is Human Excellence. Perhaps we have a duty to ask ourselves as Jesuit educators; how to educate and train in a new way for future? What kind of Human Excellence do we, as Jesuit educators, need to seek and achieve in today´s world? (Ref. GIobal Identifiers of Jesuit Schools #9).
