The topics you are going to discuss in this workshop –Reflective Leadership, Globalisation and Promotion of Justice– touch very closely upon the work you are doing in the Jesuit educational institutions of this vast area. Although the social and cultural contexts vary enormously from country to country, the phenomena of worldwide significance we are experiencing affect all of us in equal measure. Within their diversity, the Jesuit schools have something very particular in common, and that is the Ignatian inspiration that ani-mates all of them. This “way of proceeding” gives them all a powerful sense of unity as well as a unique capacity to confront the challenges of the present world.
